For information on joining Scouting, click here. If you recently joined Scouting, but have not been contacted about your first meeting, contact the Scout Service Center at 800-277-2724 or 864-233-8363 and provide them your child's town and school.

To create a list of exactly what to purchase along with a price list, visit Scoutstuff.org, select "Necessities" from the index, and then select the appropriate program link. You can then print your list of uniforms parts. A guide for placing patches in the correct locations is available here too.

Activities for New Scouts
Fall Cub Weekends are an exciting outdoor activity for new Cub Scouts and a parent or guardian; they are held at Camp Old Indian in scenic Northern Greenville County.
Many other activities are available; contact your leader for a list and/or check out the Activities Page for more information on upcoming activities.

Learn More About Scouting
Adult leaders are selected by the chartering organization and unit committee and approved by the council Scout Executive; they are trained to deliver the promise of scouting to youth in Scouting programs (and have a lot of fun as Scouting volunteers).
Cub Scouting is for Boys in Grades 1 to 4.

Set a Good Example with a Full Scout Uniform
A complete Scout leader uniform shows your pride and also sets a good example for your Scouts.

Get Trained to Provide A First Class Program
First take Fast Start Training. It provides a brief introduction to your job in Scouting. Your Pack or Troop may offer this training through a video tape and discussion. You can also complete Fast Start online. Follow the links below:

Then take New Leader Fundamentals and Position Specific Training. Visit your training page for information and sign up forms.

Use Scouting Magazine as Resource in Your Pack or Troop
Scouting magazine is included with your leader fee. It is designed to coordinate with the articles featured monthly in Boys' Life. Use Scouting to help make your job easier, and encourage all your Scouts to take Boys' Life. Check out the links below.
