Blue Ridge Council
About
The Scouting America Blue Ridge Council has provided Scouting programs to youth in the Upstate of South Carolina for over 100 years. Our council serves the counties of Abbeville, Anderson, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, Newberry, Oconee, and Pickens. The Blue Ridge Council is experiencing exciting growth. We now serve thousands of young people across our eight-county area — and the need for Scouting has never been greater. In today’s world, youth need the leadership, values, and skills that Scouting uniquely provides. Scouting gives young people the opportunity to explore a world beyond the boundaries of everyday life. They try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence and develop leadership skills. These experiences stay with them throughout their adult lives, helping them to grow into exceptional men and women who respect their families, communities, religions, countries and themselves—-and are Prepared. For Life. Here you can find out about Scouting in your area and much more!
