BALOO Training: September 21st – 22nd, 2019
Fluor High Adventure Base and Leadership Center
This one-and-a-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities.

Cub Leader Specific Training: October 20th, 2019
Blue Ridge Council Service Center
Join us for FREE cub training.  We will cover what your leaders need to know to run FUN and effective pack, den, and committee meetings.  Learn the practical side of cub scouting from experienced leaders.  This is more than online training, this is an opportunity to ask questions, fellowship with other new leaders, and experience a great day of training!

Scouts BSA

National Youth Leadership Training: June 9th – 14th, 2019
National Youth Leadership training is a week long experience conducted by Blue Ridge Council to provide each Scout with a meaningful Scouting experience that will enhance his/her role and responsibilities as a leader.


Youth Protection Training
The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the BSA developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, and Venturing programs. 

Introduction To Outdoor Leader Skills
September 28th – 29th, 2019

Fluor High Adventure Base and Leadership Center

This hands-on program gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a Scout-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Each skills session references specific chapters in the Boy Scout handbook and highlights advancement requirements.

WoodBadge Session 1: September 13th – 15th, 2019
WoodBadge Session 2: October 11th – 13th, 2019

Fluor High Adventure Base and Leadership Center
This 6 day course will take place both in the classroom and in the outdoors. Scouters are given the chance to live in a Scouting atmosphere for an extended period of time.  This experience will provide a deeper understanding of Scouting and the impact it can leave on the youth in your unit and in your community.
