This one-and-a-half day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for leaders interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities.
National Youth Leadership Training
March 27th – 29th & April 3rd – 5th, 2020
National Youth Leadership training is two weekend experience conducted by Blue Ridge Council to provide each Scout with a meaningful Scouting experience that will enhance his/her role and responsibilities as a leader.
Youth Protection Training
The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. To maintain such an environment, the BSA developed numerous procedural and leadership selection policies and provides parents and leaders with resources for the Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, and Venturing programs.
Introduction To Outdoor Leader Skills
March 27th-28th, 2020
at Camp Old Indian
This hands-on program gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a Scout-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Each skills session references specific chapters in the Boy Scout handbook and highlights advancement requirements.

Camp Bud Schiele
This 5 day course will take place both in the classroom and in the outdoors. Scouters are given the chance to live in a Scouting atmosphere for an extended period of time. This experience will provide a deeper understanding of Scouting and the impact it can leave on the youth in your unit and in your community.

Bethesda United Methodist Church
Trainer’s EDGE is BSA’s trainer development course designed to help Scouters put into practice the EDGE training model and gain self-confidence through hands-on training experiences. It replaces the Trainer Development Conference (BSA 500) as the required train-the-trainer course.
University of Scouting & Pow Wow – January 4th, 2020
The 2020 event was a huge success with over 100 participants!!! Next year it will take place on January 9th, 2021 at Easley First Baptist Church. Further details coming soon.
University of Scouting and the New Pow Wow is an action-packed, fun-filled day of supplemental Scout Leader training. It is offered once a year to provide knowledge, ideas, tools and resources to help adult leaders, volunteers and Scouts in their Scouting positions. It is the only time during the year where you can find, all in one place, a wide variety of training opportunities in all program areas (Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, & Venturing).
